Jill Roper, MA, LMFT

Jill obtained her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX in 2003. Jill has worked with children, families, and couples in all different types of settings; including volunteer settings, state agencies, private organizations, and HOSPICE. Along with practicing at the Center for Couples and Families, she works as a Therapist at Riceland Behavioral Health in Winnie, TX. She has a passion for helping people. “As a young adult, I suffered the sudden death of more than one family member. At the time I was going to college and had majored in Elementary Education. After going through the pain of losing people that I was very close to I then realized that there are times in our life that it seems like “all is lost” and it is hard to move on and heal. However, you CAN get through it! I decided to change my major so that I could help others. I began by volunteering while still in college and tried to help people through the tough times whenever possible. I then went on to work with children who were in foster care as well as children from abusive families. I enjoy working with people of all ages. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals and families, as well as couples.”
